Selecting Asset Toll Class

This article demonstrates how to select the Toll Class for an asset in Perspio. Only available in Australia.

Vehicle Classification Overview

Across Australia, vehicles are assigned to toll‑road classes based primarily on:

  • Dimensions: Length and height

  • Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM): Especially for commercial vehicles

  • Vehicle Type: Motorcycle, passenger car, light commercial, heavy commercial

Each state uses a slightly different naming convention and number of classes:

  1. New South Wales: 2 classes (A / B, represented by 2 and 4 in Perspio).

  2. Victoria: 4 classes (1–4)

  3. Queensland: 4 classes (1–4)
