Security Groups – Configuration
The Configuration Tab within a Security Group allows users to view and manage core information about the group, such as its name, category, and description. This area is essential for maintaining clear identification and classification of your asset groupings.
Navigating to the Configuration Tab
To access this tab:

From the Groups menu, select an existing Security Group card (e.g., "TOW TRUCKS AND VAN COPY").

In the left-hand navigation, click on Configuration.
This will open the group configuration panel, where you can view and update key attributes of the group.
Editable Fields and Their Purpose
The panel displays the following details:

Name: The label assigned to the group. This is used throughout Perspio to reference the group.

Category: A drop-down menu used to classify the group (e.g., "Rental Fleet"). This helps with reporting, filtering, and workflow targeting.

Description: An optional text field to provide more context about the group's function.

Created Date: Displays the timestamp when the group was originally created. This field is read-only.
Editing Group Details
To edit the group configuration:

Click the Edit button located at the top-right corner of the configuration section.

The fields for Name, Category, and Description will become editable.

Make the necessary changes.

Click Save to apply the updates.
This ensures your group remains appropriately labelled and organised according to operational needs.
Additional Controls

Back to Groups: Located at the top-left, this button returns you to the list of all groups.

Copy & Delete Icons (Top right):

Copy: Allows duplicating the current group settings.

Delete: Permanently deletes the group. Use this with caution, as it may affect linked assets or workflows.
