Inspection Integration Software

Inspection software integration enables Perspio to ingest, normalize, and act upon structured inspection data—such as checklists, defect reports, and compliance records—by connecting third-party inspection platforms via pull (APIs, file imports) and push (webhooks, agents) methods Perspio Perspio .

Inspection software lets you ditch paper checklists and do safety or quality checks right on your phone or computer. With a few taps you can fill in forms, snap photos or videos, note the time and place, and have everything automatically saved in the cloud. This makes it easy to spot problems faster, share reports instantly, and keep a clear record of who approved what and when—so you spend less time on paperwork and more time fixing issues.

What Do We Mean by It

Inspection software integration refers to the automated exchange of structured inspection records—such as safety checklists, equipment audits, and compliance forms—between third-party inspection platforms and Perspio™, enabling centralized analytics and action. By ingesting inspection outcomes and linking them with operational telemetry, Perspio delivers end-to-end visibility from defect detection through maintenance resolution.

How Do We Do It?

Perspio connects to Inspection Software via APIs and Webhooks. By completing an inspection in the software, a series of actions can be performed in Perspio:

  • Creating an Inspection Completed event on an Asset.
  • Assigning a driver to an Asset or Trip.
  • Writing Odometer and/or Run Hours information to an Asset.
  • Assigning a Job or Location to an Asset.

More actions can be performed according to which software is integrated and the use case needs.

What Data Do We Like to Have

To maximize inspection analytics and automation, Perspio prefers the following fields in each inspection payload:

  • API Tokens: Token provided so Perspio can connect to the Inspection Software
  • Asset ID: Globally unique identifier for the inspected item.

  • Timestamp: ISO 8601 UTC timestamp of inspection events.

  • Inspection/Form ID and Fields ID: List of checklist entries, pass/fail statuses, measurements.

What Data Do We Push Back In

Perspio supports bi-directional workflows by writing enriched outputs and telemetry into inspection source systems through workflows:

  • Asset Location: When the software manages assets, automatically writes the asset's geographical position into an asset.
  • Telemetry Data: When the software manages assets, automatically writes Odometer and Run Hours into an asset.
  • Corrective Actions & Work Orders: Automatically generate maintenance tickets and actions based on workflow condition and actions.

  • Inspections: We can prefill inspections, assigning it to the correct person for completing the forms.
