How to Manually Override an Asset Location

This article explains how to set the location of an asset that does not have GPS in Perspio.

The Manual Location Override feature allows you to manually specify a static location for your assets, overriding the automatically detected location. It's commonly used for assets not equipped with GPS or non-telemetry assets, but on assets equipped with GPS, the GPS location can be overridden by this method.

 

1. Click on Inspector

2. Click on Unassigned

3. Click on Set Location Override

4. Proceed to edit the location

Click on OFF

 

To enable Manual Location Override, click on Edit in the Static Location section. Toggle the Manual Location Override switch to ON, then enter the desired Latitude and Longitude coordinates manually or use the map pinpoint icon to select a location. Choose the appropriate Timezone from the dropdown menu and click Save to apply the changes.
