How to Create an Asset
This article shows how to manually create an Asset in Perspio.
It's important to note that Perspio only allows the creation of Non-telemetry Assets.
The difference between a connected asset and a non-telemetry asset is explained here.
Creating an asset in Perspio allows you to represent physical or virtual items within your operations. This functionality enables you to include assets that are not directly connected to Perspio, serving as placeholders for manual tracking or future integration.
Additionally, it facilitates the import of connected assets from other tenants, allowing you to consolidate and manage assets across different organisational units within a single tenant environment.
1. Click on Inspector

2. Click on Add Asset

3. Fill the required info and click on Next

4. Turn on the required Service Flags and click on Create

5. Click on Go to asset
You have now completed the creation of an asset.

6. Non-Telemetry Asset Snapshot
This is the Snapshot screen of a non-telemetry asset. The geographical coordinates can be overwritten and the Asset Details edited, making it reflect its real-world counterpart.
When an asset is shared from another tenant into your environment, the data associated with that asset will be transferred and may overwrite existing information in your system. This process is governed by the selected Sharing Profile, which defines the scope and nature of the data to be shared. It's essential to configure the Sharing Profile appropriately to ensure that only the intended data is shared and that critical information within your tenant is preserved.
