Archiving an Asset is useful when decommissioning an asset or device, as it ensures historical data remains accessible for compliance and audit purposes while removing the asset from active operational workflows.
This approach helps maintain an accurate, streamlined system, removing from the UI Assets that have been sold or decommissioned entirely.
Archiving an Asset is the same as hiding it from the UI and turning off all the Service Flags. More information on this article.
To Archive an Asset, follow the steps below:
1. Access the Asset Inspector.
2. Select an Asset from the list or map and click on the Archive Button.
3. Click on Archive Anyway
A confirmation dialog will display all current associations linked to the asset in Perspio.
Review the listed relationships, then click Cancel to abort or Archive Anyway to complete the archiving process.
4. This Message confirms that the operation was successful
