CRM Integration

Perspio connects CRM records with real-time operational data, helping teams automate workflows and act on customer insights. Its Data Connector Library supports API-based data retrieval and can send updates and service acknowledgements back to the CRM.

CRM Integration in Perspio What Is CRM Integration?

CRM integration is the automated exchange of structured customer, sales, and service data between Perspio and a third-party customer relationship management (CRM) platform.

By combining CRM records, such as contact identifiers, account information, and contract details, with real-time device data, Perspio helps organisations turn device insights into actionable customer workflows.

Depending on the capabilities and configuration of the connected CRM, Perspio can help teams:

  • Create or update leads, deals, and opportunities.
  • Pre-populate support tickets and service cases.
  • Create follow-up tasks and activities.
  • Initiate service-booking workflows.
  • Carry actions completed in Perspio into the organisation’s preferred CRM.
  • Trigger CRM-native automations or connected workflow services.

This allows sales, service, and customer success teams to work with enriched, up-to-date information without manually transferring data between systems.

How Does CRM Integration Work?

Perspio supports direct API integration with CRM platforms.

Using supported REST or GraphQL APIs, Perspio can retrieve CRM data at configurable intervals. Depending on the CRM provider and the agreed integration scope, this may include contacts, leads, accounts, opportunities, and related records.

Direct API integrations may support:

  • Scheduled data synchronisation: Retrieves CRM data at configurable intervals.
  • Bulk data retrieval: Imports larger groups of CRM records.
  • Historical backfills: Retrieves previous CRM records when historical information is required.
  • Outbound updates: Writes Perspio insights and actions back to the CRM.
  • Event-driven workflows: Initiates automated actions when supported by the CRM platform.

The synchronisation method, frequency, and available operations depend on the CRM platform, its API capabilities, and the organisation’s integration requirements.

What Data Does Perspio Prefer to Receive?

To maximise the value of a CRM integration, Perspio prefers each record to include the following information, where available:

Contact and Account Identifiers

Unique identifiers used to associate CRM records with the correct customer, account, contract, or device profile in Perspio.

Lead and Opportunity Details

Information such as:

  • Lifecycle stage
  • Opportunity value
  • Expected close date
  • Status
  • Record owner

Contract and Service Details

Relevant information such as:

  • Contract identifiers
  • Service levels
  • Entitlements
  • Renewal dates
  • Support arrangements

Custom Attributes

Organisation-specific information, including:

  • Industry
  • Customer segment
  • Region
  • Product tier
  • Account classification

Timestamps and Status Codes

Consistent timestamps, preferably formatted using ISO 8601, and status values that support event ordering, synchronisation, and audit trails.

Providing stable identifiers and consistently formatted values helps Perspio match records accurately and reduces the risk of duplicate or incomplete customer profiles.

What Data Can Perspio Write Back?

Perspio can ingest CRM data and, where supported and configured, write enriched information and workflow outcomes back to the source CRM.

Examples include:

  • Scores

Custom Field Enrichment

Perspio-generated information can be added to CRM records, including:

  • Device signals
  • Recommended actions
  • Other relevant insights

Workflow Triggers

Perspio events can initiate:

  • Webhooks

Outbound updates are subject to the permissions, object model, API limits, and workflow capabilities of the connected CRM.
