Condition Search

The Condition Search feature allows users to query and retrieve assets based on specific field values and logical conditions. It is designed for operational teams that need to perform detailed filtering across the asset inventory for tracking, validation, diagnostics, or compliance purposes.

The Condition Search module is a robust utility for extracting meaningful, actionable insights from your asset dataset by filtering with precision and saving frequently used conditions for ongoing operational benefit.

Functionalities in Detail:

  • Custom Rule Builder

    • Enables users to define conditions using fields such as Asset Name, Device Serial, Assignment, and more.

    • Supports various operators like Contains, Equals, Starts With, and more for flexible query construction.

  • Logical Grouping

    • Allows conditions to be combined using AND or OR logic.

    • All conditions must evaluate to true depending on the logic chosen.

  • Live Result Panel

    • As conditions are defined, the system dynamically filters and displays matching assets in real time.

    • Useful for validating query accuracy before saving or exporting.

  • Saveable Queries

    • Users can save condition sets for repeat use.

    • Helpful for monitoring specific subsets of assets over time.

 

Performing a Condition Search:

  1. Navigate to the Search module and select Condition Search.

  2. Click New Condition to create a query.

  3. In the builder, select a field (e.g., Asset Name), an operator (e.g., Contains), and enter a value (e.g., "Odi").

  4. Add another condition as needed, using the AND/OR toggle to define logic between them.

  5. Press Run to see matching assets.

  6. Click Save to keep this condition set for later use or Discard to delete it.

 

Screen Controls:

  • Condition Builder

    • Editable interface to configure each condition row.

    • Use (+) to add conditions and (–) to remove them.

  • AND/OR Toggle

    • Sets whether all or any conditions must be true for the results to appear.

  • Run Button

    • Executes the search and refreshes the results below.

  • Save & Discard Buttons

    • Use Save to preserve your condition logic, or Discard to cancel changes.

  • Assets Table

    • Displays matching assets with details like ID, Description, Assignment, Country, Device Count, and Last Seen timestamp.

    • Includes a Search Bar to further refine results.

    • Click Export to download results for offline use.

  • Saved Conditions Panel

    • Lists saved queries for one-click access.
