# Asset Groups – Geofence Members
## The Geofence Members tab within an Asset Group allows you to associate geofences with the group. This association enables dynamic control of group membership based on asset location.
When geofences are linked to a group, **only the assets currently located within those geofences will be included in the group**. If an asset exits the defined geofence, it is automatically removed from the group. Likewise, if a new asset enters the geofence, it will be dynamically added.
#### **Accessing the Geofence Members Tab**
To access this tab:
1. Navigate to the **Asset Group** page.
2. Select the desired group from the group card list.
3. Click **Geofence Members** from the side menu.
#### **Tab Layout and Controls**
### Geofences Dropdown
- Located at the top-left, this dropdown shows the number of geofences currently selected.
- Clicking it allows you to select or deselect geofences to associate with the group.
### Search Geofences
- A search bar is provided to easily locate geofences by ID, title, or description.
- This is useful when managing large datasets with many geofences.
### Table Columns
| Column | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **ID** | The unique identifier of the geofence. |
| **Title** | The name of the geofence, such as a branch name or location. |
| **Type** | The category/type of the geofence (e.g., Branch, Customer Site). |
| **Description** | A short description of the geofence location. |
| **Is Active** | A checkbox indicating whether the geofence is currently active in the group. |
| **Created Date** | The date and time the geofence was created. |
| **Updated Date** | The most recent date when the geofence was modified. |
| **Actions** | The **Remove** button allows you to disassociate the geofence from the group. |
### Export Button
- Located at the top-right of the screen.
- Clicking this allows you to export the list of geofences currently associated with the group for auditing or reporting purposes.
### Settings Icon (Gear)
- May open advanced options or filtering configurations, depending on system permissions and setup.
#### Important Notes
- Adding a geofence **does not permanently link assets** to the group. It dynamically manages group membership based on the current physical location of assets.
- **Assets are removed** from the group the moment they leave the geofence area.
- **Assets are added** to the group automatically upon entering the geofence, with no manual intervention required.

This setup is particularly useful for temporary or location-based groupings, such as monitoring all assets within a depot, warehouse, or customer delivery zone.
