APIs Menu

The API menu lets you register, view, and manage all external applications that have programmatic access to your Perspio tenant.

The API tab is where you enable external systems to access Perspio via API.

Key Features

Element Description
Add Application Click to register a new external application with API access to Perspio.
App Tiles Displays existing applications with unique identifiers and names, such as “Uptrends” or “Microsoft Flow.” Click on a tile to view or manage its settings.

  • Monitor External Access: Know exactly which applications have API-level access to your tenant.

  • Manage Integrations: Easily add or revoke third-party connections, such as automated workflows or monitoring dashboards.

  • Improve Security: Track and control external data flows to align with your compliance and governance policies.

Best Practices

  • Name Clearly: When adding a new application, give it a descriptive name for easy identification later.

  • Audit Regularly: Periodically review connected applications and revoke unused or outdated integrations.

  • Use Tokens Wisely: Pair this with the Tokens tab to manage authentication and access scope.

This screen helps administrators maintain full control over which external systems are connected to Perspio via APIs, ensuring visibility, security, and operational consistency.

It is important to note that you can only add up to three API connections to your tenant.
