In Workflows, utilizing information from the Asset Master, Configuration or Telemetry as a Variable can bring more contact into a Workflow, making it easy to identify why and by which asset the Workflow was triggered at a glance. Follow the steps below to add Variables to your Workflows:
1. Click on Workflows
2. Click on the workflow needing to be updated
3. Click on Actions (Trigger)
6. Click on Variable Inspector
7. Search for a sample asset
You can select any asset and search the for the desired variable under the Asset Details, Asset Configuration, Telemetry or Reminders Copy the value and close the screen.
8. Using the Variable in the Workflow
Type the additional language you want in the body of the message. In this example we added "Please Contact" and paste the variable where you want the value to appear.
You can use the variable in the text and in the Select Attribute Field (if it's a mobile or e-mail stored in the field on Asset Master, depending on the type of Action).
9. Saving and clearing supressions
With the suppression, - if you want to keep the sensors that were previously identified within the flow, then Click on No. - if you want to clear all sensors currently identified within the flow, then Click on Yes.
