Adding a Contact Phone Number into a Action(trigger) within a Workflow

This article describes a step-by-step guide for adding a contact phone number into a workflow within Perspio

 

In Workflows, utilizing a phone number from the Asset Master in the Contacts fields as a Variable allows the asset's contact to be notified, rather than relying on fixed, pre-determined phone numbers. This approach also reduces the need for multiple workflows to alert various individuals.

1. Click on Workflows

2. Click on the workflow needing to be updated

3. Click on Actions (Trigger)

Expand the SMS action and click Edit

6. Click on Variable Inspector

7. Search for a sample asset

You can select any asset and search the for the desired contacts variable under the Asset Details tab. Copy the value and close the screen.

8. Using the Variable in the Workflow

Type the additional language you want in the body of the message. In this example we added "The General Manager can be reach at" and paste the variable where you want the value to appear.

You can use the variable in the text and in the Select Attribute Field.

9. Saving and clearing supressions

With the suppression, - if you want to keep the sensors that were previously identified within the flow, then Click on No. - if you want to clear all sensors currently identified within the flow, then Click on Yes.
